Advisory Board
As part of the financial planning process, we developed a strategy we refer to as the Advisory Board. Once every two to three years, or as needed, we encourage our clients to gather all of their advisors together for a meeting designed to make certain that each of them is working from the blueprint created during our financial planning sessions.
Smith, Frank & Partners will take the lead in this meeting by managing everything from creating the agenda, coordinating the meeting with each of the advisors, and facilitating the meeting itself. This allows our client to leverage his or her time by only spending time on the meeting – not all the preparation.
Generally the advisors will include our client's CPA, attorney, investment manager, insurance agent, trustee, etc. It can also include anyone whom the client views as a trusted friend.
The main objective of this meeting is to discuss strategies for our client to achieve his or her objectives without having the costly delays and miscommunications that are typically associated with secondhand information. Each advisor is asked to comment from his or her specific discipline as to the advisability of the strategies. This process usually generates new ideas in a much more efficient manner than can be experienced any other way.
